The Angus Glens of Isla, Prosen, Clova, Lethnot and Esk stretch up from the lowlands (Straths) into the hills and mountains on the southern edge of the Cairngorms National Park. Offering some of the most rugged and majestic landscapes of northeast Scotland you could wish for, their rolling hills and dales are a major attraction for hikers, birdwatchers and botanists in the summer, grouse shooters and deer hunters in autumn, and a growing number of skiers in winter.
