what’s on Bute and Cowal Peninsula

With its lovely and varied landscapes, the Isle of Bute lies at the heart of the Firth of Clyde and has been the popular island retreat of both Scottish kings and generations of Glaswegian holidaymakers. The area is a haven for walking, cycling, fishing and wildlife, and its waters are a major attraction for the yachting fraternity. With its charming hamlets and villages, mountain peaks and glacial lochs, the neighbouring Cowal Peninsula makes for an enticing introduction to the West Highlands.
