Theatre Scotland

Theatre has long been a part of Scottish culture and the country boasts a number of fine theatres. While many theatres are well-established, others are still relatively new and fast gaining a reputation for hosting ground-breaking performances. With no theatre of its own, Scotland’s national theatre, The National Theatre of Scotland, is free to make theatre wherever it can connect with an audience. Challenging the notion of what theatre can achieve, it works with the best companies and best individuals to produce and tour world-class theatre, performing in a wide range of venues across Scotland, including halls and found spaces. Theatre in Scotland is exciting, entertaining and, sometimes, challenging. And it does Scotland proud.!
