Science events in Scotland

Scotland has four major science centres: the Glasgow Science Centre, with its magnificent titanium arc and featuring live science shows, interactive workshops and the Scottish Power Planetarium; the Stratosphere Science Centre in Aberdeen, which introduces science to children as a cool, fun thing to get into; Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh, which tells the amazing story of evolution; and Dundee’s hands-on, interactive, scientific attraction called Sensation.

Gifted to the people of Dundee in 1935, the Mills observatory is the only British observatory to have been built with the sole aim of encouraging public understanding of science and is the UK’s only full-time public observatory.
