Burns National Heritage Park offers visitors a chance to experience the rich heritage of Burns within the environment that inspired his imagination. It contains a number of attractions, all within easy walking distance of each other. These include: Burns Cottage and adjacent museum, containing over 5,000 artefacts relating to the life, work and legacy of Robert Burns Burns Monument, opened to the public in 1823 and set in beautiful commemorative gardens overlooking the historic Brig o’ Doon and The Tam o’ Shanter Experience which brings to life Burns’s best-loved tale in a special audio-visual presentation.
