Lying 22 miles west of Portree, Dunvegan Castle is the oldest continuously inhabited castle in Scotland and has been the stronghold of the Chiefs of MacLeod for nearly 800 years. Inside, a variety of family heirlooms and artefacts are on display, including a lock of Bonnie Prince Charlie’s hair and a pin cushion embroidered by Flora MacDonald. Open daily April - October.
