Get a taste of life behind bars in this 1820s jail which was built as a Howard reform prison in 1823 and was a model prison in its day. Also discover the history of the Royal Burgh of Jedburgh. Displays in the cellblocks recreate the lives of prisoners and staff, while the Jailer’s House explores the history of the town.
