Renowned for the ambiance of its parks and gardens, Perth enjoys a charming position on the banks of the Tay. An attraction not to be missed in the Perth area is Scone Palace (pronounced Scoon) where many Scottish kings were crowned. Perth enjoys a vibrant cultural scene. Its new £20million concert hall delivers the very best in music, drama, comedy and family entertainment, and Perth Theatre, one of the oldest theatres in Scotland, has an annual programme of touring shows and in-house productions. Perth’s Museum and Art Gallery has a collection of fine and applied art, and more paintings and works of art can be found at The J.D. Fergusson Collection, situated within Perth’s historic Round House.
