Open Golf events in Scotland - what’s on

Around the world golf is somewhat an elite sport. But in the land of its birth, it enjoys widespread appeal across the social spectrum. The Old Course at Andrews and Musselburgh Links (thought to be the oldest golf course in the world in continuous use) are both public courses. Council-owned courses, with low fees and easy access, are common throughout the lowlands, giving plenty of opportunities for amateur play. And, of course, there are hundreds of private courses to choose from.
