Watersport events in Scotland - what’s on

Scotland’s lochs and windswept coastline are ideal for water sports of all kinds, from surfing, sailing and scuba diving to wakeboarding, windsurfing, waterskiing, canoeing and white water rafting. And for something completely different, there’s river-bugging, adventure tubing and fun-yakking!

Glencoe Boat Club Annual Regatta is open to everyone interested is racing sailing dinghies and yachts.

15th June 2013 (start date), Fort William (end point):

The Barmouth to Fort William Three Peaks Yacht Race combines yachting, mountain running and cycling into one of the greatest adventure challenges in British sport.

22nd June 2013, Fort William:

Visiting yachts and dinghies are welcome to join Lochaber Yacht Club’s annual regatta.

19th - 24th June 2013, Shetland:

The Bergen Shetland Races 2013, incorporating a rally for cruising boats, will be conducted on the waters of Bergen, the North Sea and the approach to Lerwick Harbour and vice versa.

20th July 2013, Highlands & Skye:

A crazy lilo race on the River Nevis, involving some jumps, rapids and brute strength.

27th July - 2nd August, 2013, Argyll:

This historic and unique sailing regatta has evolved into the West Coast’s second biggest sailing event taking in three venues - Craobh, Oban and Tobermory.
