Country music Scotland
Country music has more sub-genres than there are states in the USA. Recognised mainly by the sound of the steel guitar, country music has a huge following the world over - including Scotland. Venues up and down the country play host to local and international artists. Scotland’s largest and most established country music festival is held each year in Creetown, just north of the border in Dumfries and Galloway.
